Successful Gene Expression Profiling Performed on Embryos
A team from Monash University in Australia has developed a way to identify, and do a DNA analysis of embryos, which should improve the success of IVF procedures in the future. Dr. Gayle Jones, co-author of the study, and a senior research scientists at the Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories said the following: "One of the major stumbling blocks to worldwide acceptance of a single embryo transfer policy is the lack of highly predictive criteria to select the single most viable embryo within a cohort.
