Sony launches Bravia TVs with 1,000,000:1 Contrast
Clear and bright outlook for Sony's new TV
Clearly not content with delivering us the thinnest television to place within the walls of our living rooms, electronic heavyweights Sony aims to further our viewing experience by delivering colour contrast with an astounding ratio of 1,000,000:1.
The XR1 series of Bravia 1920 x 1080 pixel, full-HD models, will utilize tri-colour RGB LED backlighting to produce the intricate and sophisticated colour output.
Assisted by the dynamic switching backlighting, the impact on the overall picture quality stands as an unprecedented development in home television technology.
To compliment the sheer crispness in colour, the Bravia also boasts a 10-bit Engine which processes the images from inside to help produce such stunning picture quality.
The welcome addition of an extra USB port to connect a digital camera ensures you can also enjoy your holiday pictures in all their colourful glory.
Television enthusiasts in Japan will be the first to get their hands on a new set, as they hit the shops there on October 10th.
